WHO
IS PEGASUS PRODUCTIONS?
The director of this enterprise is Dayle L. Brown, an educator with over 30 years of classroom
experience. Ms. Brown has specialized in planetarium education for over 20 years. Currently combining these interests with
love of art by writing/illustrating a series of books: Skylore from the Planet Earth: stories from around the world... (ORION,
PLEIADES, MILKY WAY, and soon VENUS).
Accomplishments in the field of astronomy education include:

1985 Students worked with Ms. Brown after school to build a cardboard dome for a K-6 planetarium program. A used Spitz (see
Home) A1 projector was donated by Ohio State University.
* 1987 recipient of Teacher Creativity Fellowship from
Lilly Endowment
*1989 selected to attend a NSF Leadership Institute in astronomy and space science conducted by
Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley
*1991 selected to attend S.P.I.C.A., a NSF Project
to prepare master teachers to become resource agents for science teachers, operated by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for
Astrophysics, Cambridge, MA
*1991 awarded rank of "Fellow" by the Great Lakes Planetarium Association
* 1993 & 1994 served as co-director of POPS (NSF Leadership Institute in astronomy and space science) conducted
by the Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley
* 2001 Writer for Indiana Science Curriculum

* 2003 selected for "A Week in the North Of Italy", hosted by Serafina Zani Astronomical
Observatory, in collaboration with the International Planetarium Society Mobile Planetarium Committee, and with the support
of Learning Technologies, Inc. Activities include presenting lessons to students, a workshop to teachers, and a talk to general
public.
